Gayish News Theme Contest
- Contest announcement on the 2/25/2021 episode.
- Entries accepted from 3/1/2021 to 3/22/2021.
- Must be wholly original work, or sufficiently altered from the original as to qualify as parody under US Copyright Law. Final determination of whether the work counts as parody is at the discretion of Gayish Media, LLC.
- Final recorded version must be ten (10) seconds or less.
- Contest submissions must be sent as an audio file attachment to an email sent to gayishpodcast@gmail.com
- One winner (1) will be selected by Gayish Media, LLC, in its sole and absolute discretion, based on suitability as a theme for the news segment of the Gayish Podcast.
- Winner will be announced on the episode of Gayish Podcast that will be published Thursday, April 8th, 2021.
- By entering the contest, owners of submissions understand and accept that entries may be used for any purpose by Gayish, including but not limited to inclusion in episodes of Gayish Podcast, alteration via editing or processing techniques, and may be re-recorded at the discretion of Gayish Media, LLC.
- Gayish Media, LLC, reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to terminate the contest at any time without prior notice.
- Gayish Media, LLC, reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to alter any contest rules at any time.
- Contestants may make as many submissions as desired, subject to the rules, if each submission is substantively different from previous entries.
- No purchase or payment of any consideration is necessary to enter the contest.
- Winning submission will win one (1) piece of Gayish merchandise from gayishpodcast.com/merch and a one-hundred-dollar ($100) cash prize.
- Winner is solely responsible for all taxes and/or fees as well as all additional costs that may be incurred.
- Contest is null and void in any jurisdiction where prohibited by law.
- Gayish Media, LLC, reserves the right to condition the award of prizes upon the execution by the winner(s) of a release of ownership rights to the created work unless prohibited by law.
- Employees and staff of Gayish Media, LLC, and their immediate family members are not eligible for the contest.
- Gayish Media, LLC, reserves the right to require the winner to execute an affidavit of eligibility as a sworn document and provide other proof of eligibility as a condition of receipt of the prize or award.
- Entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to form of class action, and exclusively in the federal or state circuit court located in Seattle, WA; (2) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering into this contest, but in no event including attorneys’ fees, and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
- All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these contest rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Gayish Media, LLC in connection with the contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington.
