As with all tests, the CDC advises that consumer check to make sure the test they’re buying is FDA-approved. My personal opinion is avoid home tests and get yourself to a certified licensed clinic/laboratory for a proper blood-based HIV test and the supportive counseling that comes with it in the event of a positive test result.
